Yey!

No I’m not returning to Aion but I’m taking advantage of the 10 day free reactivation celebration due to December vacations. Currently I’m playing other MORPG, Guild Wars, which doesn’t run on a quota system, so I don’t get mad because of wasting money if I’m not playing.

Soo… I’m back to Atreia, for a couple of days. I’ve just connected an hour ago and now I’ve been forced to quit because of a maintenance. Everyday tale.

While the server is down I’ve been looking for the bring outs. In the past few months there has been a jubilee, Aion first year in the European continent.

They have brought new features; a new continent (Balaurea) with its new dungeon and new stuff, a pet system (nothing new, just the typical cute / storage pets, as in Ragnarok Online) and a as they say ‘many many other things’. Oh! and they’ve added connectivity to twitter.. *O* wow… such great features have had cost them hundreds of Kinahs…

I do like Aion but its following WoWs path, horizontal development not brining anything new, just more dungeons, skills, weapons, armors, …  he norm.

I decided to cancel my Aion subscription. I did like the game, lore and graphics above all, but found it quite immature, with unbalancing facts that made my leveling experience not so enjoyable.

On the other hand, I had not so many people to play with. English mature players did not match my timetables, and Spanish people did not help me practising my poor English.

Anyway, I plead guilty xD If I return, I’ll try to get more involved on the server community, trying to loose my PvP inexperience and making efforts to find parties to play with, but not right now. I’m having my English mock exams soon, so I prefer to save my money and concentrate in absorbing the vocabulary I’ve achived these days ^_^

I have to admit, that making a microblog and forcing myself to write have made me improve.

And just to finish, I’ll like to tweak Aion Staffs ears ¬.¬ Day by day they demostrate the little intention they have to make community events fun, cooperative and didactic…

As it’s normal in war days, camps rule all over Atreia. All of them endure the same problems in their day to days; lack of food or water, uncontrolled animals destroying the natural environment due to multiple problems, … and depending on where the camp its set, they may have their own special difficulties.

I’m doubting between making her follow the path of assassination or hunting. One way or another, I’m willing to loose PvP fear and tension with her.

I’m not used to PvP, not at least on my own, and it has always been my pending task on the MORPG worlds.

Is the crisis also affecting virtual games? I’ve never seen kinah sellers whisper in a non bot way. Or maybe they’ve just soften their bot style… ;o

One way or another, it impressed me to have such an exclusive service.

I’m taking a rest with Lovedu, and as I needed some change in my life in Atreia, I gave birth to Dwaina and quickly settled her to complete Ulgorn Raiders tasks at Aldelle Hill.

In a rush incursion to Heiron (I haven’t moved there yet, still got lots of places to visit at Eltnen) I saw this cute Ettins!! What an strange creation of Aion.

They’re such an extravagant animals, that even ancient people tamed them as pets.

One of the most hated things in the MORPGS it’s the strange idea of thinking that stupid events will make people happy.

If you don’t know how to improve your players imagination with funny events, rewarding their efforts with nice prices, just don’t do anything.

I’ve played lots of MORPGS, including being an ‘Event Game Master’ in one of them. Tired of not seeing administrators care about community feelings, and joy, I ended up creating what I’ve always wanted.

We had fun, even if I had not the opportunity to participate (someone had to organize them) but I had never seen events again neither had such an enjoyable moments. Not even in private servers.

I can understand it’s a hard task, harder with such an incredible amount of users, so, if you don’t know how to do it, leave it!

Man… this is not about having more followers, this is about making a community.

I feel really ashamed about Aion right now. This is not the way guys.

And there he goes … @aion_tamat loosing followers. You deserve it. Give thanks people won’t give up playing for things like this.

p.d: I’m not whining, I admit trying to obtain serials at first but stopped when I saw the circus start. I’ve got my ethics, and felt like a lion competing with the rest of the pride for a rotten piece of meat.

Christmas has arrived to Atreia, and with it, the anticipated Solorius Festival. All inhabitants celebrate to honour the previous year’s ascended Daevas and their service to humanity.

This years preparatives are being quite dull except the the built of a big piano in Sanctum, where anyone can play their favourite tune.
