Living in Atreia
The Pre-Abyss Test

Recently I’ve passed my test in order to enter the Abyss. Not many people have the opportunity to fight against Asmodians and Balaur in such place, but the effort worth it.

So as to be part of such privileged group I had to pass lots of test and consolidate my knowledge of the Abyss and its origins.

After the cataclysm destroyed the tower of the eternity, five of the empyrean lords who survived, guided the rest of humanity to repopulate Elysea, starting to build the new city of Sanctum.

Everything went ok, but mysterious fissures started to appear swallowing everything went into as they get closed. Shattering Aetheric fragments floating in the air of Elysea.

One day The Empyrean lords, now called the Seraphyns, organized an expedition into the fissures, and discovered a new world both frightening and fantastic, with pieces of the old Atreia, where Balaurs laid.

They called it the Abyss, and Deltras with his legion (both called the Legion of Storm) where ordered to inspect every corner of it.

The legion went into unusual fissures too, larger and more unstable than the norm, and discovered a land totally opposite to theirs, gloomy, with creatures similar to us, but darker.

Their leader, Zikel, captured Deltras and without giving the chance to explain theirselves started a fight that nowadays its still leading into a war.

Those creatures called themselves Asmodians.

With the aim of proving my knowledge they made me the following questions:

Gromoros’ Questions

  1. What created the Abyss?
    • The Destruction of the Tower of Eternity.
  2. How does the Abyss pose a threat to Atreia?
    • It is draining the Aetheric energy from Atreia.
  3. Which statement is false?
    • The third statement, “The atmosphere of the Abyss significantly weakens anyone who enters”, is false.

Nestor’s Questions

  1. When was the Abyss created?
    • During the Cataclysm.
  2. Where was the first permanent gateway to the Abyss constructed?
    • Verteron.
  3. Which legion was the first to discover Asmodae?
    • The Storm Legion, led by Deltras.

Xenophon’s Questions

  1. How can one ultimately control a fortress?
    • Defeat the Guardian Deity General
  2. Which “fact” is false?
    • The third statement, “Occupying a fortress automatically gives you control over nearby Artifacts”, is false.
  3. Which statement is untrue?
    • The third statement, “The weakened atmosphere and gravity allows a Daeva to fly as long as they wish without tiring”, is false.

After answering all questions I had to pass a flying exam in Eltnen, going through some rings in the correct order in a given time.

And finally, when I passed the exam they awarded me with the Winged Guardian, and guide me through the door of the Abyss.
